Template:Item The Night Sky (ナイトスカイ Naitosukai?) is a Board type Extreme Gear that appeared in Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. It is NiGHTS' character-exclusive Extreme Gear, meaning only it can use it, and its default Extreme Gear. It is obtained in both games when unlocking NiGHTS as a playable character.

Description
The Night Sky first appeared in Sonic Riders. According to its profile, the Night Sky originates from the city of Twin Seeds, and that it can only be ridden by a Nightmaren, which is NiGHTS's species. It is obtained in the game, alongside NiGHTS, by completing all of Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow and Storm the Albatross's missions in Mission Mode.
The Night Sky's design in Sonic Riders is that of a slightly slender board with purple and fuchsia stripes covering most of the main board, with a light purple stripe across the rear and yellow fins on the sides of the rear.
Abilities and Traits
As a Board type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the Night Sky is well-balanced in its attributes with average statistics, an average rate of fuel-consumption and is suited for general riding.
Like most other character exclusive Extreme Gears, the Night Sky does not possess any unique abilities.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity

Description
The Night Sky reappeared later in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. According to its profile, the Night Sky is the dreams of people given physical form. It is said, however, that should people cease to dream, it would cause the Night Sky to disappear. It is obtained in the game, alongside NiGHTS, by clearing all the missions in the Story Mode.
In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Night Sky receives a noticeable redesign; rather than its sleek and smooth design in Sonic Riders, it is much more bulky in appearance, almost as if it had been encased in armor, with two fin-like exhaust ports with yellow rims on each side of the rear. It is primarily colored purple, with golden outlines across the main section and has two orange stars on top which serve as foot panels.
Abilities and Traits
As a Board type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Night Sky is well-balanced in its attributes with average statistics and is suited for general riding.
Like most other character exclusive Extreme Gears, the Night Sky does not possess any unique abilities of its own. However, it possesses Gear Parts that can increase its top speed and the amount of Gravity Points it can store, and transform it into an Air Ride type Extreme Gear.
