The Next Show[1] is an event that appears in the Sonic X anime series. It is a children's television show featuring a purple mascot named Next.

Description[]

The Next Show is a children's television program that features a purple colored mascot named Next who is often seen dancing and singing, usually inclining the children watching to follow suit along with them.[1]

History[]

Anime[]

New World Saga[]

The Next Show was first shown being watched by Cream and Cheese, dancing along to the song being sang by Next. However, due to Eggman's actions in the stratosphere, the TV lost its connection, and the two were unable to continue watching their show.[1]

List of staff[]

  • Next (mascot character)

Trivia[]

  • The show is likely inspired by the children's output produced by the NHK, which often features mascots and/or puppet characters.
  • Due to the removal of most text in the English dub, the show's name is nowhere to be seen in said versions.
  • The Next Show is mentioned on Cream's Sonic Channel profile, making it one of the few original elements of Sonic X to be referenced within the continuity of the video games.[2]
