Plot

Sleet finds Knuckles and brings him to Robotnik. When they arrive, Sleet is praised by Robotnik for bringing Knuckles, but then Knuckles states that he came only to make a deal. His intention being to stop the chaos in Mobius, and to contain the Emerald. Robotnik hesitates to work together with him until Knuckles says that this alliance would save his Robotnik Empire. Robotnik agrees to the deal, but under the condition that Knuckles will help him capture the Sonic Underground. Knuckles hesitates and asks Robotnik if he would roboticize them once captured. Robotnik lies, saying that he would not roboticize them, but rather keep them as prisoners. Knuckles then reluctantly agrees to turn over the Sonic Underground in exchange for finding the Chaos Emerald that will save Mobius. However, he soon regrets that he ever trusted the evil dictator after Robotnik begins to follow through on his plans to roboticize the Hedgehogs. Once Knuckles saves his friends from Robotnik, a larger challenge is waiting for them. Dingo has swallowed an emerald and has now transformed into Chaos Dingo, creating havoc all over the planet. The Sonic Underground, Knuckles, and Robotnik have to stop the mutant creature before Mobius falls into certain oblivion.
