The Neutrino Accelerator from Sonic the Comic #1. Art by Anthony Williams.

The Neutrino Accelerator is an object that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It was a machine built by Doctor Ivo Robotnik in the Green Hill Zone.

Robotnik boasted that the Neutrino Accelerator had the power to crush Sonic, that it would pollute the atmosphere for a thousand years, and that it would never need to be refuelled since it ran on the Golden Rings of Mobius (Robotnik later implied that the machine's continued operation would destroy the rings too).

Sonic destroyed the machine with one well-placed Super Spin Attack, hitting it with the "force of a cannon shell".[1]

  • Robotnik referred to it as his "engine of destruction", although Sonic later called it the Neutrino Accelerator.
