Nate Morgan is a scrapped character from the Sonic the Hedgehog television series.
Appearance[]
Nate Morgan would have been a tall, slender, black man with a full snow white beard. He had lost a lot of his hair and was bald, but still had hair on the sides and back of his head. He would have had a bulbous nose and thick bushy eyebrows. In both pieces of concept art, he is depicted with a cane/staff.
In one piece of concept art, his clothing is depicted as a more typical wizard robe with star and moon symbols. In his second artwork, he wears more modern-looking clothing.
Personality[]
Nate Morgan was intended to have an eccentric personality. He was someone who adored nature, to the point he couldn’t stand having to be inside Castle Acorn as the environmental advisor to the King, and so he left to live outdoors. Nate enjoyed telling jokes and stories, playing cards, singing, and doing magic tricks. He also would have had a deep concern for Sally’s burden as future ruler of Mobius.
Powers and abilities[]
Nate Morgan was intended to be the environmental advisor to the King as well as a member of the Knothole Freedom Fighters. He was also intended to have a weak leg, which would necessitate him using his crane to get around
Nate Morgan was intended to be a wizard, having studied spells from his “Big Book of Spells” and could cast spells and make predictions with his ESP, although he notes that his skills in magic have gotten weaker over time due to him slacking on his studies. He is also able to seemingly teleport in a puff of smoke.
Trivia[]
- This incarnation of Nate Morgan was practically the exact opposite of his comic counterpart, being a tall, eccentric, wizard, while the comic version was a short, serious, scientist.
