The Nasty Hyenas[1] are a group that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series. They are a gang of cannibalistic hyenas who travel around Mobius looking for people that they can name their king, only to eat them.
History
TV series
Past
The Nasty Hyenas were original members of a cannibalistic tribe who ate their kings. On an average, they would eat 4.3 kings each month. However, they eventually became a splinter group and began traveling Mobius, continuing their cannibalistic ways.[1]
Season two
The Nasty Hyenas preparing Antoine.
While roaming the Great Forest, the Nasty Hyenas would accost Antoine Depardieu upon encountering him. When Antoine tried to show off his limited martial arts skills, the Nasty Hyenas frightened him so badly that he accidently knocked down their hover bikes. However, when Antoine said he was a master of "king-fu", the Nasty Hyenas seemingly mistook him for their king. Addressing him now as their "royalness", the Nasty Hyenas would worship Antoine in various ways. During the following evening, they would meet the Knothole Freedom Fighters, who wanted Antoine to come back home with them. However, Antoine refused, having grown accustom to his new life. The next day however, the Nasty Hyenas began to cook Antoine, only for the Knothole Freedom Fighters to interrupt them.
