Mystery Bay is a location that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is a secluded bay located at Bygone Island which holds the entrance to Creeper Gorge.
Description[]
Mystery Bay is located on the southwestern coast of Bygone Island and is surrounded by tall cliffs and black outcrops which enclose the entire bay. The only entrance to this bay is through a gate in the village. Mystery Bay holds a number of ruins from the Ancients, including tall pillars and a large retracted suspension bridge with a Crystal Lock which can be raised to connect with a bridge to Creeper Gorge. Additionally, the waters of Mystery Bay are infested with mines which damage the playable characters upon contact.
History[]
Games[]
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric[]
In an attempt to gain enough voters to become mayor of the Unnamed Village, the Fastidious Beaver opened the Great Mystery Race (though no one told him why it had that name) in Mystery Bay to make the voters happy and thereby earn their favor. He even took the course himself within a certain time. However, Fastidious was not all that excited about the plan, but remained there no less.
After Team Sonic acquired the Tidal Crystal, the team traveled to Mystery Bay to find the Twilight Crystal. There, they activated the local Crystal Lock to raise the ancient suspension bridge which took them to Creeper Gorge.
Trivia[]
- The Boost Pads on the suspension bridge in Mystery Bay will not work until the Crystal Lock is opened.
