The Mutant Seed Gun is an object that that appears in the Sonic Boom television series. It is a discarded weapon of Dr. Eggman's, capable of creating mutant flora, which was stolen by the Lightning Bolt Society.

The Mutant Seed Gun's primary function is to create weaponized flora from ordinary seeds. By loading seeds into its jar, the Mutant Seed Gun can rapidly treat them into mutating and shoot them out over wide distances, allowing for fast dispersion, though the seeds themselves are harmless to consumers. After a while, the seeds will instantly grow into ravenous, extremely hostile and heavily mutated plants.[1]

History

The Mutant Seed Gun was created by Dr. Eggman, but got discarded and thrown out with his trash. There, it was stolen by the Lightning Bolt Society, who wanted to use it for their master plan to control all the fruit in the Village and beyond. Dave himself would use the Mutant Seed Gun to help Tails replant an orchard of beige berry trees so he could join the Lightning Bolt Society, though the seeds soon grew into monster bulb-like plants that Team Sonic would destroy. Dave later used the weapon to spread mustard seeds on his burger.[1]
