Mummy Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Mummy Chao have pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads that are entirely wrapped in tan, decayed looking wrappings, which a strand of trails off to the right from their down to their arm. These wrappings start off white in the middle, turn tan on the sides, and become brown and appear dirty at the edges. They also have pure black eyes, the right of which is wincing, no nose or mouth, a round torso that is smaller than their head, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. They also have a floating orange dot above their heads, a short and round tail, and a small set of wings on their backs.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Mummy Chao is a collectible pet of the "Seasonal" rarity. It could be bought from Amy's BOOtique for 400 pieces of candy each from the 29th of October to the 5th of November.

In gameplay, Mummy Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Mummy Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Mummy Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Mummy Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Mummy Chao by collecting five of them, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Mummy Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Mummy Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
