An ice cream vendor known for his winning smile and the gooey stretchy ice cream he serves. Having been raised on these elastic edibles, Mufid naturally believes all the world's ice cream is the same. Somebody needs to bring the man a cone from another country and serve him two scoops of reality.
Mufid (ムフィード,Mufīdo?) is a character that appears in Sonic Unleashed. He is a human resident of Shamar and a novice ice cream vendor hoping to both earn a profit and escape the heat of his hometown with his products.
During the events of Sonic Unleashed, Mufid met Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip when they first arrived in Shamar, where he complained about the heat to them. As he went on complaining about the heat, Mufid noted how he could really go for an ice cream, before sulking at the fact that he now really wanted an ice cream after having brought it up.
Later on, Mufid met up with Sonic and Chip again, where he told them that it was always hot in Shamar. Taking about the heat, however, suddenly gave Mufid the idea of opening his own his own ice cream stand in Shamar, believing he could made a fortune by selling such treats in the heat. Deciding to get to work making ice cream, Mufid asked Sonic to lent him a hand by gathering the ingredients he needed, which Sonic agreed to. Sonic soon after returned with the ingredients and Mufid praised him for his efforts, but he then realized that he had no idea of how to make ice cream with these ingredients.
Sometime later, Mufid was wondering if there was anyone that could teach him how to make ice cream. Seeing Sonic and Chip nearby, Mufid asked Sonic if he knew someone who knew how to make ice cream and requested that he introduced him to such a guy. A while later, as he was pondering about how to open a ice cream stand, Mufid heard met Sonic again who told him about the Ice Cream Vendor in Apotos, an expert ice cream maker. Upon Sonic's confirmation of his claim, Mufid became set on learning from the Ice Cream Vendor on how to make ice cream, so he could open his own ice cream stand, and left Shamar.
Arriving in Apotos, Mufid found the Ice Cream Vendor, where he introduced himself and explained that he had come from Shamar when he heard that there was delicious ice cream in Apotos. Mufid also explained that that he was trying to open his own ice cream stand before asking the Ice Cream Vendor if he was willing to teach him how to make good ice cream. As the Ice Cream Vendor agreed to Mufid's request, Mufid thanked him and proclaimed to his new boss that he was at his service. While in Apotos, Mufid asked the Ice Cream Vendor of the many aspects of ice cream making, such as how to make flavorful ice cream that roll on the tongue and melts in the mouth, the best way to chill ice cream at the right temperature and how to make ice cream smooth and creamy, where he was each time given some sound advice to got by. At the same time, Mufid was happy with his education and wanted the Ice Cream Vendor to teach him more.

While most people in Shamar can tolerate the local heat, Mufid cannot stand it. He is eager to get to work in the ice cream business, but is is still a novice on the field and needs to learn more. He is also noted to have a winning smile.

How to obtain mission: After Clearing Arid Sands Day Act 1, talk to Mufid in Shamar's hub world during the Daytime.
