This Bad Bug surges ahead, delivering a high voltage volley to everyone it meets, removing an item.

— Description, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle

The Moto-Bug, also known as LEGO® Moto-Bug, is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Projectile Item used primarily to attack rivals.

Description[]

The Moto-Bug takes the form of the Badnik of the same name, sporting its design from Sonic Lost World, both as an icon and on the tracks.

Overview[]

Moto-Bug SFSB Profile

In gameplay, the Moto-Bug can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Classic Sonic (also as Classic Super Sonic), Elf Classic Sonic, Tails, Omega, Elite Agent Rouge, Zazz and LEGO® Tails. As with most other Items, Metal Sonic can also use the Moto-Bug if he uses the Steal Item to steal it from the aforementioned users.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Moto-Bug by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the user sets loose a Moto Bug, which will travel down the lane it was deployed on in front of the user. As this power-up moves forward, the Moto-Bug will mow through any rival character until it hits an obstacle or wears off. If a rival character touches the Moto-Bug's Moto Bug, they will be stunned, thus causing them to lose Rings and stop moving for a moment, and lose one random power-up in their inventory slots on the HUD. Furthermore, the Moto-Bug's Moto Bugs are indestructible, making them impossible to intercept unharmed. To avoid the Moto-Bug, the playable character must either step out of its Moto Bug's lane or jump over it.

The Moto-Bug can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 6 and 12 respectively. For each upgrade, the player will get the chance to obtain more Moto-Bugs to use in the Projectile Item slot from a single Item Box; at level 6, there is a chance of getting two Moto-Bugs, and at level 12, there is a chance of getting three Moto-Bugs however for Zazz instead at level 12 it increases the damage
