The Monopod Drone,[1] also known as the MonoWheel Drone,[2] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series and its spin-offs produced by Paramount Pictures. It is a unicycle-based Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, and the third Matryoshka Drone.[3]
Appearance[]
The Monopod Drone is a white ovoid Badnik with a black underbelly and glowing red "eye." The drone possesses a single wheel, attached via a long black arm, from which two retractable triangular blades can be produced.

The Monopod Drone was created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik under funding from the United States government. Upon its creation, it was stored within the Quad Drone.
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
The Monopod Drone was deployed from the wreckage of the Quad Drone and pursued Sonic and Tom on the road to San Francisco, before being destroyed by a hit from Tom using a flashlight. After its destruction, the Tiny Drone flew from the broken glass of the Monopod Drone's eye.

Powers and abilities[]
The Monopod Drone is fast enough to keep up with a pickup truck. It is also capable of protruding two blades from its hubcaps that it can use to shred tires. It can be deployed by the Quad Drone and deploys the lesser, helicopter-based Tiny Drone from its eye upon destruction.

- The Monopod Drone is somewhat reminiscent of the Moto Bug Badnik from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, as both are ovoid Badniks with a singular wheel.
