Modern Lair Magazine is an organization that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is a magazine publisher who prints issues featuring the latest in lairs for villains.

Description[]

Modern Lair Magazine is a company who publishes issues that "brings the readers a contemporary upbeat take on evil" represented in the design and decoration of the lairs of villains. As such, they have very high standards to the lairs they consider including in their issues and sends their people to do site inspections to judge whether they qualify or not.[1]

The issues published by Modern Lair Magazine have not been revealed, though they incorporate themes such as "Island fortresses" for them. The issues' contents include front pages depicting the lairs they have chosen to publish, spreads and even adds for cleaning products.[1]

History[]

TV series[]

Season one[]

For their "Island fortress" issue, Modern Lair Magazine considered including Dr. Eggman's lair and sent Dr. Eggman an exposition. Gunther, the assistant of one of their photographers, Diane Aardvark, came to the lair to do a site inspection, but was unimpressed. However, he was convinced by Eggman to give him a week to redecorate. When he returned, Gunther was pleased at the changes Amy had made and promised to return the next day with Diane. When they came back however, the lair had been trashed by Team Sonic, making Diane fire her assistant for his poor judgment and she left as Eggman pleaded for another chance.[1]
