- Not to be confused with Mister Eggman.
Mr. Doctor Eggman[3] (ミスター・ドクター・エッグマン[4] Misutā Dokutā Egguman?) is one of the five main antagonists (alongside Dr. Done-It, Dr. Deep, Dr. Don't, and Dr. Babble) of the Sonic Prime television series. He is an alternate version of Dr. Eggman from another dimension and the leader of the Chaos Council.
Appearance[]
Mr. Dr. Eggman resembles Dr. Eggman, but has red and white boots, a toupee, black goggles with purple lenses, and more notable features. His uniform is red and black, with lightning bolt and star symbols. The lightning bolt symbols are horizontally separating his uniform's top to black and red.
History[]
TV series[]
Past[]
Not much is known about Mr. Dr. Eggman's past, but the Chaos Council was already formed when they attacked Green Hill. They sent Eggforcers to remove all vegetation. Its five members were in agreement to start a new leaf while being tyrants of their soon-to-be New Yoke City. Mr. Dr. Eggman offered himself as the leader, but Dr. Deep was not satisfied with the idea. Dr. Babble suggested to divide the city into five different districts, one for each of them. They all went with his idea.
Season one[]
Mr. Dr. Eggman is first seen inside of the Council's main base, when Sonic is introduced to them by Rusty Rose. He seems to be the natural leader of the Council. The doctors put Sonic trough some tests in order to see what he is capable of. Despite Mr. Dr. Eggman and the rest not wanting to, they go with Babble's idea to dissect Sonic to see what he is made of. He is saved by the Resistance. Mr. Doctor Eggman and the rest are caught in the fight, but they are able to escape. They all go to a control room where they sent more Eggforcers to deal with the rebels. Later on, Mr. Dr. Eggman sends Doctor Deep to fight them. After his failed attempt, Mr. Dr. Eggman goes to fight himself, using a big and strong robot. He is able to capture Rebel, Knucks and Rusty, while Sonic and Nine get to the Shard. The rebels fight back, and when he searches for Sonic and Nine, both of them are gone.
Some weeks later, the Council receives news from Rusty Rose that Sonic is in town. She also tells them there might be multiple Shards. The Council fights against the rebels in the city streets. Mr. Dr. Eggman captures Sonic and tries to make him spill the beans about other Shards. Nine comes into action and helps his friends. Mr. Dr. Eggman engages in an aerial fight against the fox. He manages to trick him, and the Council captures him.
Season two[]
Using the red Shard, the Council is finally able to enter the Void. Mr. Dr. Eggman stays in the main ship while he sends Dr. Don't and Babble to attack Boscage Maze, and Doctor Deep and Done-It to attack No Place. He decides to go to No Place himself in order to retrieve the Shard, and is successful. When they finally get all three Shards, the Council debates on what to do with them. They create bigger and stronger Eggforcers. Mr. Dr. Eggman questions Nine and asks him how to defeat Sonic. Nine says they will never achieve that, since Sonic always get up and they are unable to think like him. This causes Mr. Dr. Eggman to create a robot duplicate of Sonic known as Chaos Sonic. He is very excited to see them fighting, and is sure Chaos Sonic will win.
Mr. Dr. Eggman and the Council decide to use the Shard's power to open portals to the other worlds in order to conquer them. Nine opposes the idea but Eggman closes the door on him so he doesn't have to listen to his words. The Council is able to create buildings in the other worlds just by using the Shard's energy. They follow Sonic, Nine and Shadow into Ghost Hill. Mr. Dr. Eggman stays on the main flying ship, where he fires big laser beams to Sonic and Shadow. When the other members of the Council are defeated, Mr. Dr. Eggman proceeds to create the Prismatic Titan.
Season three[]
When Ghost Hill starts to collapse after Nine steals the Prism, the Council uses the little energy they have left to go back to New Yoke. Some time later, when Sonic fights Grim Birds on top of the Yoke, Mr. Dr. Eggman and the Council surprisingly help him in the battle. Sonic is shocked, but they state that it's only temporary until they can fix the chaos. They make a deal, and the Council lets Sonic and his friends stay in their base. They argue with the rebels and other shatterspace variants, but Sonic reminds the all that they must be united. Mr. Dr. Eggman gets frustrated when Mangey sneaks into a room containing the energy extractor. The Council uses some of Sonic's energy to create a giant shield to protect them.
The Chaos Council aligns with the rebels and travel to the Grim to assist Sonic in the fight against Nine. Mr. Dr. Eggman fights from the sky, piloting the mothership. He states that they will be back to torturing the rebels soon, not realising he was on speaker. When Nine creates the menacing Grim Big, Mr. Dr. Eggman is able to defeat it by shooting a big laser inside the robot's mouth. Nine takes revenge by harnessing more Prism energy and shooting at the mothership. Mr. Dr. Eggman gets on his mech and abandons ship, barely making it out of there. He is determinated to make Nine pay.
Once the big fight is over, Mr. Dr. Eggman and the rest break into Nine's lab to confront him again. When Nine apologizes and fixes the Prism using Sonic's energy, the Council takes the opportunity to go back to their usual ways. The five of them start arguing over power and what to do with the Paradox Prism. The fight soon gets physical, and in the end, all of them are knocked out to the Void. Mr. Dr. Eggman promises they will have their revenge.
Personality[]
Like all members of the Chaos Council, Mr. Dr. Eggman is an evil, power-hungry tyrant. Seeming to have the most similarities to Dr. Eggman, Mr. Dr. Eggman appears to fall more on his strategic side. He is very vain, wearing a toupee to hide his baldness and panicking if he loses it. He is also very serious, telling Dr. Deep to "grow up" when he was dancing instead of chasing the rebels. Mr. Dr. Eggman is sadistic, laughing while watching Sonic get shot at with lasers. However, he does possess some small amount of mercy and compassion, believing that using the Energy Extractor to agonizingly remove the energy in Sonic's body would be excessive, and allowing Sonic to say his last words before he would use the extractor on him; he even seems to take the latter rather seriously, harshly slapping Dr. Done-It awake with a displeased expression when the latter fell asleep while Sonic was talking.
Powers and abilities[]
Equipment[]
Mr. Dr. Eggman utilizes a crimson-colored mech suit to engage his opponents in combat. The mech appears to be modeled after a race car, with a prominent spoiler on the back, air vents on its chest, and a black and yellow lightning-bolt shaped decal pattern on both of its wrists. The head of the mech is modeled after Mr. Dr. Eggman's own, bearing Dr. Eggman's signature features along with a metal hairpiece, which is able to retract to allow the pilot to emerge from the suit. The mech suit possesses a great degree of strength, being shown prying open a sealed blast door, and it is equipped with extending limbs, laser cannons, and jet boosters that allow the suit to take flight.
