Michael "Mike" B. Pollock, sometimes credited as Herb Lawrence, is an American voice actor who has done voice work for the English dub of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He has worked on many voice overs of English-dubbed anime by 4Kids Entertainment. He is most notable for being the voice of Dr. Eggman in several media since Sonic X.
Pollock is the only English-language voice actor who wasn't replaced in 2010. It was revealed by Pollock in a chat session on November 16 that Sega had held auditions for Dr. Eggman, but they decided to keep him because none of the other voice actors who auditioned fit Eggman well.
Pollock confirmed that he will continue to voice Eggman.[1]

"Mike Pollock: As I recall, when we were recording Sonic X, which was obviously the first exposer to the character, and the "Hohoho" laugh came in, um, I think I opted for a more 'Santa Claus'-esk delivery, because that would be my natural pitch range, but I believe the director/producer, were the ones saying "oh no, we wanted a more high pitch 'HO HO HO HO!'" kind of thing... ... And its a little known fact that I now like to share because the statute of limitations is expired but in some episodes of Sonic X, where my voice was a little too scratchy to give them the, uh, high pitch laugh that they wanted, I do have a stunt laugher, um, and the man behind that, lets say his name rhymes with 'Stan Freen'."
