The Meteor Crash , is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
Description [ ] The Meteor Crash's icon takes the form of the dark brown meteor, with red bolts surrounded, leaving the red trail in its wake. In gameplay, the Meteor Charge became multiple meteors with red electrical surround drop down the track.
Overview [ ] In gameplay, the Meteor Crash can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Movie Shadow . As with most other Items, Metal Sonic and Metal Sonic Mach 3.0 can also use the Meteor Crash if they use the Steal Item, or Fortune Teller Amy if she uses Lucky Draw or Wall of Cards to steal it from the aforementioned user.
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Meteor Crash by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the user calls down five meteors to drop down the track. For the first meteor, it'll drop ahead of the user, and next meteors will drop at certain distance to each other, no matter how fast the user currently was (like get speed or get damaged). Any rival character, including user themselves, will take damage, causing them to lose Rings , stop for a moment and lose randomly one of their power-ups they currently have which are shown on the bottom of the HUD. To avoid those meteors, the character must step out of their lane or jump over them.
The Meteor Crash can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 4, 10 and 16 respectively. For each upgrade, the Meteor Crash will increase damage.
