History[]
Anime[]
Metarex Saga[]
Several Metarex Troopers fought Super Sonic in orbit of his home world on the orders of Dark Oak, but were handily dispatched by the super-powered Hedgehog. The crew of the Blue Typhoon would encounter them next in the forces of Metarex Crystal, where they were forced to battle them while dealing with the frozen conditions of the planet that they occupied. A large number of them were part of the garrison on the Metarex Station and the crew of Red Pine's Battleship, where they displayed single-minded devotion to their cause without regard for their own existence.
Powers and abilities[]
The Metarex Troopers are capable of flight and can fire miniature missiles[1] or purple lasers[2] from their hands.
Variants[]
Silver[]
Silver was a prototype Metarex Trooper created by Black Narcissus to test Sonic's abilities. Blue-eyed and with silver armor as suggested by its name, Silver was designed to test Sonic's speed. Unfortunately for both, an infusion of energy from several artificial Chaos Emeralds caused Sonic to become Dark Sonic, who dispatched it with ease.[3]
Gold[]
Gold was a prototype Metarex Trooper created by Black Narcissus to test Sonic's abilities. Gold had golden armor to match its name and red eyes, and was designed to learn the limits of Sonic's strength. Unfortunately for both, an infusion of energy from several artificial Chaos Emeralds caused Sonic to become Dark Sonic, who dispatched it with ease.[3]
Trivia[]
- The Metarex Trooper is the only type of Metarex to have no eyecatch card.
