The Metarex Crystal (メタレックス・クリスタル Metarekkusu Kurisutaru?) is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X. It was a crystalline Metarex with a body made of inorganic ice.
Appearance[]
Metarex Crystal was a crystalline dark blue Metarex with a purple eye. It had multiple ice protrusions on its head, frontal body and shoulders, with two larger protrusions on its chest.

Metarex Saga[]
The Metarex Crystal occupied Planet Breezy that had been left covered in ice by the removal of its Planet Egg. Metarex Crystal was involved in the efforts of the Metarex to create artificial Chaos Emeralds, and produced a red one that it used to empower itself during a battle with Sonic and his allies, but was defeated.[2]

Powers and abilities[]
Crystal had Super strength, being strong enough to create a large fissure by punching the ground. Crystal was as well very durable, being unfazed by the Blue Typhoon's missiles. Crystal also had ice breath and the ability to grow spiky pillars of ice from its palms to strike targets from afar. Crystal could also teleport, and could increase its size to gargantuan proportions by absorbing chaos energy, even from the lesser amount found in a fake Chaos Emerald.[2]
