Metal Scourge is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a robotic duplicate of Scourge the Hedgehog, much like what Metal Sonic is to Sonic the Hedgehog. It was created by Dr. Eggman during his descent into madness.

History

Bold New Moebius

Having sent Metal Sonic to attack Sonic, only to find Scourge at Freedom HQ, Eggman decided to attack him instead. When Scourge commented that he was going to conquer Eggman's empire anyway, Eggman immediately began construction on Metal Scourge, remarkably finishing in a matter of minutes, presumably by repainting and redecorating a spare Metal Sonic.

By then, Sonic was on the scene, teaming up with Scourge to take down Metal Sonic. When Metal Scourge arrived, Scourge reluctantly called the Suppression Squad into the fray. Both Badniks were destroyed by Boomer's sonic waves.

Legacy

Several of Metal Scourge's parts were later salvaged and used to rebuild Shard the Metal Sonic.

Metal Scourge bears the exact same properties as Metal Sonic, meaning it possesses incredible speed and strength.

Trivia

• Metal Scourge is the only robot Eggman has created based off of a resident from Moebius. He is also the first robot excluding the Auto-Automatons/Infiltrators-created by Eggman or Robotnik who is not modeled after a character originating in Sega games.
• Metal Scourge's eyes are white with black pupils rather than the black eyes with red of Metal Sonic v3.0.
