I'm just posting here to notify you that I have just now sent a message to the email address you have associated with this account.
I'm sending this message in addition to the email because I have an unusually low response rate - the email might be in your spam folder! Alternatively, maybe you don't have access to that email address any more? If so - feel free to contact me on Discord.
The email is not from Fandom - it is from my own work email address. This would not be affected by your marketing or notification preferences.
It concerns the Editor Rewards Program. Both the specifics of the program and any potential response you give are to be considered private, so I do have to insist that further responses are either to the email or you can find my on the Fandom/Sonic Discord.
Hi there, you probably won't remember me well but I dipped from this wiki for the longest time. I only came back to touch up my page and old stuff, and I realized that I have a lot of old user fan pages that are old and collecting dust.
I didn't want to spam the wiki activity with me marking them all with the Delete template, so is it possible to ask if I could have every single one of my user fan pages deleted except for Melissa's? If need be, I can link the ones I want deleted if you can't find them for any reason.
Well. I'm making a Sonic Skyline Wikia, but I need some help. Please enlist all who you can, and if you have a deivenart account, please ask drawloverlala to help me. And I just read one of your Snellville fanfics. Love it!
Hi Supermorff. I hope you're in a good condition. Per our user right rule, I'm giving you a warning about the possibility of having your rights removed after two weeks have passed since this message has been posted. As you haven't edited or contributed to the wiki in any way for more than four months, you have already fallen under the condition of the rule.
So, if you wish to continue having your special user rights in the wiki, you have to make an edit in the following two weeks. Otherwise, they're taken away.
Hi IndigoPengi. I'm pretty sure that page was copied from somewhere else on the wiki, probably a list article that I was splitting up. (I should have said which page it came from. That's my bad.) That list article itself probably came from somewhere like Wikipedia. Over time, we've found a lot of the information we took from other sites to not be very reliable, so if you have gone back to the actual games and can't find the name, it's probably just wrong.
Hi Sala. Yes, I remember you. I don't know if I'd say you caused more harm than good, but there was frustration in the past that is not now worth revisiting. Still, the fact that you have come here and apologised shows a level of emotional maturity that I do respect, so thank you. I hope you are well.
Hi Supermorff. I hope you are fine. While I was cleaning up some MediaWiki pages, I ran into this system message, which contains a list of images; some deleted and some still exist. But, the problem here is that I don't know what the system message was supposed to do exactly, and there is no documentation of it anywhere.
It seems to me to do some blocking-related actions to photos, but it is not very clear what permission it blocks in files. So, since you were the only one who was editing it these years, I wonder if you could still explain its functionality to me.
Yes, your instinct is right, it was for protection. To be honest, I don't remember exactly how it worked. It was either to prevent files with these names being created, or to prevent them being added to pages. We had a problem back then with image spamming, and this was a bit of a patch while we put other controls in place.
I assume the software has updated since and it may not work as it used to. Even if it does, these particular filenames are probably not a problem any more.
