Basically there’s a tab in the Spirits menu that allows you “Summon” Spirits. Doing so requires you to possess certain spirits in order to summon them, and doing so will grant you the spirit but consume the others.
Hello Miderb. I have noticed that many of the screenshots you have uploaded have some X and Y symbols in the upper right corner. While I do know you mean well, these symbols suggest that the screenshots you have taken are of hacked gameplay, and posting such images in a gallery that is supposed to show normal gameplay is not something we can allow.
Thanks for getting back to me. The game is not hacked, rather I have debug mode (which is legally accessible in the base game) enabled so I can move around the level and reach certain areas for screenshots. I hope that’s not too much of an issue
If it is done regally, then I suppose there is nothing I can do about it. However, it would be preferable that the images are as close to an actual playthrough as possible, meaning, for example, no normal-sized Sonic in a miniature section. I would have preferred that the images are of a regular playthrough, but the choice is yours since it is achieved through legal means.
I'm starting to wikify the interview and put it in the updated format. I'm editing it at File talk:G64questions.png since file talk edits are hidden. You can tell Garrlous it will posted Monday, October 8th. Request him to share the interview on his social media. Remember to share it with him after it's posted (8-8:30 AM EST). If he wants to answer questions on the post interview discussions, ask him to share his wikia account so we know it's him.
You can also start searching for another interviewee. I got one that will go after Garrlous (big name, secret for now). Thanks again for helping the wiki with this project.
Sorry I did not see this post earlier, I had school and was therefor unable to respond at the time you sent it. While I'm well aware the page is already deleted and therefor there is little point in arguing about it, I still feel the need to explain my self, if only so I can clarify the reasons behind my wording and such for the topics of concern in your op.
Regarding the story, I felt like that one spoke for itself with these two screenshots right here:
Perhaps I am "jumping the gun" as you say, but these to me practically scream cutscenes. I highly doubt that Heavy Mystic, with the Ruby and a scrapped pile of Heavies, would just be there for the player to pass by in normal gameplay. If there are cutscenes, then it is fair to assume that there will at the very least be some form of story to be found in Encore Mode.
Now, concerning Angel Island, DeCool seemed pretty quick to dismiss it as a lie or fabrication of some sort, which I assure you is not the case. If we go back to the original famitsu article that was released before the trailer, we can see this screenshot here:
We can clearly see a screenshot of Mighty in gameplay, with Sonic as a partner. We know this isn't a cutscene because of the HUD present in the top right corner. While you could argue that Angel Island serves as a tutorial zone and isn't actually a level, the wiki lists Egg Reverie as its own separate zone despite only serving as an arena for the final boss, so that is why mentioned it in the page, because there is more than enough official evidence to suggest that it is in fact a real zone that will be added to that game.
So that's pretty much it. In regards to there not needing to be a page since there isn't one for &Knuckles mode, I'd argue otherwise since this is a drastically different case than that bonus easter egg, but it's too late to change things, so eh. What can ya do? Hope this clears up any confusions you two may have had.
First of all, we don't know the extent of the story. That is why I am hesitant to start adding information on it like I am well aware and knowledgeable. Encore Mode has not been given the significant amount of information it needs to have its own page. Otherwise, we really are jumping the gun.
Furthermore, I'm aware of how Angel Island will make a return. BUT we do not know the extent of that either. Is it just a little Easter egg we can traverse around for a few seconds until a cutscene or is it a full two acts? We don't know.
If it doesn't have enough info, shouldn't we at least add it to the main page then? I feel like some things (specifically the pallete changes and character switching) deserve at least a little attention.
Also, I'm pretty sure it's not just an easter egg, considering whoever was playing in that screenshot has spent 30 seconds in the zone and 15k points. But I do see what you mean.
EDIT: I'd also like to mention that I can see where you're coming from in regards to story, it's just that the way the original post was worded made it seem like you guys were skeptical that there was a story at all. I was not aware you were concerned about the extent.
