Hi <insert name here>! I'm an administrator here at the Sonic News Network wiki, specializing in editing, moderating and managing both the shape and functionality of the wiki using any method that FANDOM offers. If you have anything to ask, feel free to message me below. And I shall answer if I can!
I just felt that since a lot of people would visit the mainpage first, there's a bigger chance of them actually seeing the Discord. Yes, it's on the sidebar but I just felt it fitted in side by side with the Twitter and the YouTube.
I wonder if you have ideas for things to do with your inactive bot to do some things on SNN. If not, is it possible to use it for the following I posted on the Monthly Editing Discussion Thread - July 2019: []
When you are admin, you will see an extra button that looks like a clock like in this photo. Go to the "Theme Designer" option. There, in the "Customize" tab, there will be something called "header graphic" in the "Background" section. Click on that and upload your photo of choice.
You may not know, but the official Gaming Footers were recently retired by Fandom staff. As such, the current footers are outdated and not going to be updated by Staff anymore. Me and a few other users are looking for alternatives to replace them, and I'm currently tending to the Platformer Games Footer. Would it be possible for you to replace the current footer on the main page with this one?
Sorry for the late reply, a few things went by on Community Central. Fandom Staff won't be updating the old footers anyway, and they also unlocked them for regular users to update. The old platformer footer is now redirecting to the new footer, so it's up to you really if you want to change.
I didn't know if you were online at the time but Veralann fixed it... sort of.
The problem was that I made this background image:
When I put it in the Theme Designer and set it to tile like it's suppose to, what it does it stretched the image to the size of the webpage, but still tiles it veritcally if not fixed. I did not know about this bug in Theme Designer at all but it really pissed me off.
Veralaan had to work around the problem by making a full-sized background thats manually tiled. You can see the ridges where he copy-pasted. Normally that tiny detail would bother me but it's only 8 more hours to go.
When we had MonoBook, I never had problems tiling the MonoBook background how I wanted it. It was usually simply replacing a URL in the code and such. But it's my mistakes in Theme Editor that made me feel reduntant.
A user is having an issue categorizing pages which the save button's blending as I suggested years ago probably breaks the button making it unselectable. If you can, could you remove the code to see if it's causing it before having the person try it out. If it's a bug on Fandom and not the css, then re-add it back otherwise leave it off.
I made a new blog recently on this idea of mine for SNN proposing a "Wiki-lympics" or "E-lympics", still haven't figured a name. As stated not set in stone or anything and it be soemthing for next year on the off-chance there will be a new Mario & Sonic Olympic game.
Veralaan is keen on the idea but I was hoping for more admins oppinion or interest on my idea. Such as "can it be done?" or "is this not of SNNs interest", stuff like that.
