  • Hey, I was wondering if the link from the Retro forums that had the Japanese names of all the enemies? I can't remember where it was.

  • Actually, no. Only the Lightning Shield can block both their sparks and lightning pulse teleportation...wait, I see what you mean now. My bad! Didn't realize there were two robots with the same Badnik name! Was referring to the Carnival Night Version (sparkle).

  • Hello. Are you still active? The Japanese manual of Knuckles' Chaotix has Badniks with names on them, only four of them are not found (Bushbubble, Motorspike, Poptank, Ringleader).

TheGHZ article has four Japanese names for Badniks, but is there a source for that claim?

Here are the other screenshots that my friend took.

In the Japanese version of Chaotix, the standard blue version of Metal Sonic is called "Metal Sonic Kai" - after previously being defeated by Sonic, Metal Sonic's main and sub CPUs were installed into a spare body, revived by Dark Ring power and installed with a Plasner that enables his Plasma Pulse Attack.

For a long time, wikis incorrectly stated that this was the name of his giant red form, but it isn't.

  • Oh, that's interesting! That explains why エミー suddenly flips to エイミー between the Sonic the Hedgehog Book stories. This info should definitely be added to the article. You wouldn't happen to know if the reason why the same book uses マイルス・パーアワー / テイルズ instead of マイルス・パウアー / テイルス is a similar one, would you?

    • Yeah, Amy’s surname was definitely a retroactive addition, might not have shown up in the other magazines at all. Might still merit a page rename.

    • By the way, I just added information about the biggest name discrepancy: https://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Tania

Feel free to punch up the writing and/or formatting, if you want.

Hello Indigo. You can read Japanese, correct? If that is the case, could you perhaps translate Chaos' profile from Sonic Adventure: Navigation Guide? I think it might confirm that Chaos is a Chao mutated by the Master Emerald.

  • I would like to know what proof you have that the birds in Sonic Adventure are not Flickies. We all know that they come in a variety of shapes and colors.

    • Sorry to bump, but I removed speculation of the Sonic X's Flicky page.

    • Ah, yes, it was "Birdie" Amy said. I don't think that's their Flicky-type bird...

If that user kept up with adding the flicky word back in, feel free protect them. Or lock him up for a day.

  • Hello IndigoPengi. I was wondering if your book also has measurements for the members of the E-100 Series? It would be nice to have confirmed sources for them.

      Loading editor
    • Nope, just Gamma. Presumably the others would be the same height, at least until they got remodeled, but there's nothing official in writing.

I notice that the wiki currently has unsourced heights/weights for them. E-104 Epsilon and E-105 Zeta's are copied over from Gamma's, Beta's is copied over from Sonic X's eye catch card for E-101 "Kai" (so, the wrong form) and E-103 Delta's are completely made up.

  • Hello, I noticed that you went ahead and got Nikki's name moved to Nicky. So I took my time to covered two articles that included "Nikki" becoming "Nicky". If anything else, I won't hesitate to help ya out.

    • Oh, weird. It's still showing the old names for me. Might just be in my browser's cache. Yes, "Nicky", "Amy" and "Anton Veruca" are what I wanted.

    • I am on iMac computer and using Safari to cover all Wikia sites. Dunno why it's different to me and you.

But for now, that category will automatically updating to the new names that you have moved.

And I am thinking that "Nikki" was a rough translated name, like "Yuugi Mutou", "Mutou Yuugi", and "Yuu-gi Muto U" are all rough translations of "Yugi Muto", for example.

  • Hello IndigoPengi. I was wondering if you have the Japanese guidebook for Sonic Rush Adventure. If you do have it, then perhaps you know the name of the enemies that appear in the game. Most of the names we're have here are conjectured.

  • Hello, IndigoPengi. I was wondering if you have Sonic Advance 1 Strongest Strategy guide. I'm gonna add sources for these badnik names, because they are unsourced.
