Mephistor is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is a villain from Shanazar.
History[]
Past[]
Using magic, Mephistor would steal the powers of others, seal them in bottles and sell them to the highest bidder. To aid him in his theft of powers, Mephistor hired two demons.[1]
Bottled Up![]
Mephistor was in a small Shanazar town where he saw Sonic the Hedgehog rescue people when a quake hit it. Following a citizen's suggestion, Mephistor sought to steal Sonic's powers. Mephistor attempted to befriend Sonic, but the hedgehog did not buy his act, prompting Mephistor to outright steal Sonic's powers and seal them in a bottle.[1]
To compound Sonic's misery, Mephistor toyed with the powerless Sonic and had his scrawny demons beat him up. However, Sonic got Mephistor to confirm off-handedly that he would never share his fortune with his demons, turning them against him. Before he could absorb Sonic's powers to battle his demons though, Mephistor dropped his bottle when another quake hit, allowing Sonic to reabsorb his own abilities. Mephistor was then saved from falling down a chasm by Sonic, but got tied up by Sonic with his cloak before he could cast a spell while his demons abandoned him.[1]
