Menthor is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He was the High Councilor of Echidnaopolis approximately 400 years ago.

History

Menthor had significant influence with the Council. Edmund and Dimitri approached him before they petitioned the assembled chamber to use the Chaos Syphon to reunite the Floating Island with the surface of Mobius, hoping that Menthor would support the petition and encourage the Council to go along with it. However, Menthor realized that if the plan was successful, it would make Dimitri a hero, which would upset Menthor's own plans. Therefore, Menthor decided to denounce the plan.

The petition was subsequently rejected by the Chief Magistrate.
