The Memory Neutralizing Chip is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a chip installed in the brains of the Dark Legionnaires upon their birth or joining the Dark Legion.
Description[]
When activated, the Memory Neutralizing Chip wipes the subject's memories.
History[]
After pleading her case to the Brotherhood, Eli-Za and her son both had their Memory Neutralizing Chips activated, allowing the pair to peacefully integrate into Echidnaopolis as "poor amnesiacs".
Julie-Su also had her chip activated, as it was used to make her unaware of her relation to Grandmaster Luger and her half-siblings, Kragok and Lien-Da (thinking she'd be an obstacle in their pursuit of power), and then to forget her adoptive parents when it was feared they'd reveal the truth of her family to her.[1][2]
