The Mega Muck Unit[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It is an improved Hover Unit equipped with Mega Muck. They are usually piloted by Swat-Bots, and sometimes by Dr. Robotnik himself, and serve to defend Robotropolis from Sonic the Hedgehog.

Mega Muck Units are red vehicles that appear to be upgraded versions of the Hover Units. They have primarily red armor and on the front of them are a large window and a gray cannon for firing Mega Muck. Mega Muck Units also have two tanks for Mega Muck on the sides, and some of them are equipped with antennas on the top. They also have two engines on the sides, as well as entry hatches. Inside the Mega Muck Units are chairs for two pilots and a control panel.
Features and abilities[]
Like Hover Units, the Mega Muck Unit are capable of flight. While they are not equipped with laser weaponry, they can shoot Mega Muck, which is a highly sticky substance ideal for immobilizing fast-moving targets.[1]

When Snively detected Sonic in Robotropolis, the Mega Muck Units were deployed to catch Sonic. Two Mega Muck Units tried to cut off Sonic's path, but they did not hit him. Sonic then made a whirlwind that scattered the Mega Muck Units to the sides. Later though, several other Mega Muck Units managed to dowse Sonic in Mega Muck. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Robotnik arrived to supervise the capture of Sonic. However, Dulcy came and saved Sonic by pulling him out of the Mega Muck and freezing the Mega Muck Units. Some time after, a few Mega Muck Units and Swat-Bots would escorted a Mother Dragon to the dragon Roboticizer. Dr. Robotnik and Snively themselves piloted one of the Mega Muck Units while the other two were hidden, waiting for the Knothole Freedom Fighters to appear. However, thanks to information from Chuck, the Knothole Freedom Fighters predicted the ambush. As such, they dealt with one of the spare Mega Muck Units first. Dulcy started out by burning its antenna and then freezing the Swat-Bots inside, making Snively lose contact with that Mega Muck Unit. Sally then flew off with the unmanned Mega Muck Unit while Chuck tied the second Mega Muck Unit to a wall. When this Mega Muck Unit took off, its chassis broke away from its fuselage and threw the Swat-Bot inside of it out. Sally then used her Mega Muck Unit to defeat the Swat-Bots that were approaching Sonic. She also dowsed the Mega Muck Unit which Robotnik and Snively were inside of in Mega Muck too, trapping them. The heroes then had to flee from the next Mega Muck Units, which were coming to the rescue, but they still managed to save the Mother Dragon.[1]
