The Mega Drive is an object mentioned in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an unknown superweapon created years ago by Dr. Eggman.

History[]

The Mega Drive was made years ago by Dr. Eggman as his greatest engine of destruction at the time. To power it however, the doctor needed the seven Ancient Gears.[1]

Trivia[]

  • The Mega Drive's name is derived from the Sega Mega Drive, which was the original Japanese name of the SEGA Genesis. Said name was used in most territories outside of North America (the name change in North America being due to copyright reasons).
