McGuffin is a location that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It is a small town where people like Sonic and hold a big annual celebration in his honor called "Sonic Appreciation Day".[1]
Description
Like many of the towns on Mobius, McGuffin has a cartoon-like architecture. For Sonic Appreciation Day it is decorated with Sonic posters and banners in honor of the hero.
History
The town was threatened by Scratch and Grounder who tracked him down in the Monster Robot Tracking Device and at Dr. Robotniks command, flatten it with the Robo-Roller. Sonic lost his Hi-tops during his stay at the Plazoid hotel, but managed to stop the Robo-Roller and recovered his missing shoes from Harry the Hucker.[1]
Points of interest
- Plazoid Hotel: The building that Sonnette jumped from for Sonic's attention and where Sonic stayed for Sonic Appreciation Day.[1]
- Ramp: A racing track constructed for Sonic to used for his speed demonstration. Sonic tricked Scratch and Grounder with the ramp destroying the Robo-Roller.[1]
Trivia
- A "MacGuffin" is an object or device in a story which serves merely as a trigger for the plot. The town is named after the word as it is where the story takes place.
