The Matter/Energy Transmuter[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a large device on the Egg Carrier, created by Dr. Eggman for the purpose of transmitting Chaos energy between beings.

Appearance[]
The Matter/Energy Transmuter is a large gray device covered in circuitry, with a flat top, a control panel on its front, and two sideways cannon-like energy emitters with spherical tips on both its left and right sides.[1]
Features and traits[]
The Matter/Energy Transmuter is capable of absorbing Chaos energy from an organic being, and transporting said energy into a different being.[1]
History[]
Door to the Past[]
While onboard the Egg Carrier, Dr. Eggman used the Matter/Energy Transmuter to transport the Chaos energy contained within Froggy into an incomplete Chaos. Following the procedure, Chaos was able to achieve his first true form.[1]
