Masked Chao

Masked Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance[]

Masked Chao have cyan pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large white eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. However, they have yellow tips on their arms, feet, and head points. They also have a floating yellow dot above their heads, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs. For attire, they wear a black pieces of cloth across their faces like masks and black belts with gray buckles.

Overview[]

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Masked Chao is a collectible pet of the "Legendary" rarity. It could be purchased at a display model near the starting point in Green Hill for 499 Robux on 21 May 2022. Alternatively, the player could buy five of them at once for 1,749 Robux at a display model in the same world. However, the option to purchase them was removed approximately 48 hours afterwards.

In gameplay, Masked Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Masked Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Masked Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Masked Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Masked Chao by collecting five Masked Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Masked Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities[]

Masked Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
