The Marrun (マールン,Mārun?)[1] is an enemy that appears in Sonic Advance 3. It is a mass-produced, pill bug-like Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman.
Appearance
The Marruns resemble green pill bugs.
Overview
The Marruns only appear in Chaos Angel. In gameplay, the Marruns wait in one spot until the playable character get close, upon which they will curl into a ball and roll into them. While curled into a ball, the Marruns cannot be harmed by direct attacks, and any attempt to launch physical attacks on them will only cause the playable characters to take damage. As such, the player must either quickly destroy a Marrun or dodge it as soon as they encounter one. However, indirect attacks like the Hammer Attack or Chao Attack can still defeat a Marrun even after it is curled into a ball.
