Madillos are green armadillo-styled Badniks that can curl up into a ball in order to attack their foes.
Overview[]
Madillos make their only appearance in Sonic Advance 2, where they appear exclusively in Sky Canyon. The Madillos can be seen rolling along the ground when approached, where they attempt to attack the player by rolling into them. The only way to destroy a Madillo is to do a Spin Dash into it while the Madillo isn't rolling toward the player, or jump on it while it isn't rolling toward the player. Upon their destruction, they will release an Animal.
Trivia[]
The Madillo bears a striking resemblance and similar attack pattern to the Dango, a Badnik that appeared in Stardust Speedway and Metallic Madness from Sonic the Hedgehog CD. However, they are likely not related to each other, due to them being based on two entirely different animals.
