Similar to other areas within the Mystic Jungle greater area, it featured several ruins, casino buildings as well as jungles. However, it also had fire in the background due to Eggman's Forces conducting aerial bombings against the resistance.
Story
Sonic traversed through the area in an attempt to save several members of the Resistance who were ambushed and caught in the bombings. While on the way there, he ended up having a run-in with a giant snake, whom Sonic deduced had been rudely awakened by the bombings, and nearly eaten by it. However, this proved to be a mistake for the snake as Sonic, proving why hedgehogs did not make good snacks for snakes, proceeded to repeatedly beat its insides until the Snake was forced to spit him out and lose consciousness. Sonic also encountered Infinite here and proceeded to fight against him, although he ultimately lost despite putting up a better fight than last time.
Gameplay
Description
At the start of the stage, run through the Dash Panels and Wisp Capsules ahead, and boost through the large groups of enemies that appears. The player can guide their direction a bit to keep the Boost going and knock out a number of enemies that run away from Sonic.
Run through the extra Dash Panels on the ground to eventually speed into a Ramp that leads into a 2D area. Run and smash through the enemies with the Boost to run across Ramps and through turns while gathering Rings along the way. After that, the player will come to rotating platforms that Sonic will need to jump onto to cross and continue moving to the right.
When some flying enemies that can be skipped across with the Homing Attack appear, jump on them one after the other to grab a Red Star Ring. Use then the Dash Panels on the ground to shoot forward and get launched across a gap in the ground and grab the incoming Wisp Capsule to start boosting forward. Guide Sonic into enemies and Wisp Capsules along the way to keep the Boost Gauge filled so he can continue running through everything. Eventually, Sonic will be launched upward and be faced with floating enemies that the player can use the Homing Attack on to cross a gap. Do so and move towards the ground and boost forward into another group of Wisp Capsules that will let Sonic boost through another group of enemies. Eventually, the player will be launched over a gap to a Grind Rail. The middle rail here will have a Dash Ring the player can jump through to grab a Red Star Ring.
As the player continues to move forward, they will jump up and be faced with a Real-Time Interaction with a giant snake. Hit the button prompt and a short cutscene will be played before a series of quick-time button prompts is initiated. After completing it, the player will be launched to the goal.
