The Lost Pyramid of Dr. Eggman[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is one of Dr. Eggman's abandoned bases, and is located in the Dusty Desert.

Description

The Lost Pyramid of Dr. Eggman is a giant, regular-looking pyramid made of beige stone. Inside it are corridors and halls that are lid up by torches.[1]

The pyramid is also filled with traps, which include crushing walls with spikes protruding from them.[1]

History

Past

In the past, Dr. Eggman established the pyramid in Dusty Desert, only to abandon it after some time, leaving his treasures and technology behind. Eventually, the pyramid became inhabited by a group of anthropomorphic animal villagers, who would live happy lives in it. These villagers defended themselves against intruders using the pyramid's traps and Egg-Golems, giving the place a reputation for being cursed.[1]

Eventually, Rough and Tumble came to the Lost Pyramid of Dr. Eggman to get the treasures, weapons and technology that Dr. Eggman left behind in it. While Rough was eager to get inside, Tumble was afraid of the legends of the pyramid's curse. Inside, Rough and Tumble avoided getting crushed by a wall that closed in on them. They then met Rouge, who had also come for the pyramid's treasure, and they decided to slow her down so that she could not get to it before them. They then came across an Egg-Golem who attacked them. While Rough and Tumble fought the Egg-Golem, Rouge began looking for the remote control used to control the Egg-Golem. Eventually, she came across the inhabitants of the pyramid and decided to help them. While Rough and Tumble destroyed the Egg-Golem, Rouge put on some bandages and pretended that she had been cursed and that the skunk brothers would be cursed too it they touched her. Getting scared, Rough took Tumble, who had regained his courage after destroying the Egg-Golem, and ran away. After Rough and Tumble had left, the inhabitants of the pyramid thanked Rouge and allowed her to take the treasures. Rouge also assured the villagers that they would be safe from robbers now since Rough and Tumble would surely tell everyone about the curse.[1]
