- Eddie Van Hedgehog: a seemingly well-known musician that plays the electric guitar.[1] His name is a pun on Eddie Van Halen.

- Big Beat City: a city on Mobius. Sonic once went to Big Beat City in order to get a new guitar for Catty Carlisle.[1]
- Major Mustard's 41-Flavor Ice Cream Emporium: a location on Mobius. After Tails had eaten his full at a restaurant in Wienerville, the waitress suggested for him to go to Major Mustard's 41-Flavor Ice Cream Emporium next.[2]
- Rent-a-Stove: a place where one can use a stove to eat up their food.[3] One time, Breezie sent Sonic to Rent-a-Stove in order to heat up her chili dog.[3]
- Rhombus: the home planet of Prince Charnock and Splorg.

- Angel-La: The mother of Edmund and Dimitri, and the wife of Byron. Nothing much is known about her, except the fact that the Floating Island was renamed to Angel Island after her name in 3236. In Dimitri's data file in Sonic the Hedgehog #105, she was listed as Cara-Lyn, which was then retconned in Sonic the Hedgehog #118 to her original name, Angel-La.

- Anti-Penelope Platypus: The Moebius counterpart of Penelope Platypus. She was briefly in a relationship with Anti-Sonic, but unlike Anti-Bunnie Rabbot, she did not join the Anti-Freedom Fighters in search of vengeance. Anti-Bunnie broke up with Scourge after she learned the infidelity with Anti-Penelope.[4]
- Anti-Rob O' the Hedge: The Anti-Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Rob O' the Hedge, cousin of Rosy the Rascal (Amy Rose's evil counterpart). Little is known about him, except that (according to Scourge the Hedgehog), his brother killed him.[5]

- Meredith Sanders: a member of the House of Ivo, wife of Geraldo Robotnik, daughter-in-law of Gerald Robotnik and Jennifer Vasquez, and mother of Maria Robotnik.[9]
- Metal Overlord (Pre-Super Genesis Wave)
- Min and Mum: a pair of tiny robot minions on Captain Whisker's pirate crew who accompany Whisker. Alongside Captain Whisker, Min and Mum have plagued Blaze's world in the Sol Zone.[13] Min and Mum's names are a play on the word "minimum."

His name is undoubtedly a pun based on the old saying "in the nick of time".

- Octopods: a species of aquatic creatures known to inhabit Moebius. Princess Alicia and Buns Rabbot survived an encounter with them after being knocked into a toxic pool containing them by Evil Sonic. They tried to get revenge for this, but mistakenly attacked Sonic Prime.[4]

Apparently, it was found by E-102 Gamma upon his return to Yurashia at the ocean shores. Rho was then destroyed.[16]

- E-118 Tau: The nineteenth unit in the E-100 Series line, created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. E-118 Tau was created sometime between 3236 and 3237, possibly during or after Dr. Eggman's campaign on harnessing the power of Chaos. Apparently, Tau was ambushed by E-102 Gamma at the Dragon Kingdom at Yurashia, to which it was later destroyed by Gamma.[16]
- E-119 Upsilon: The twentieth unit in the E-100 Series line, created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. E-119 Upsilon was created sometime between 3236 and 3237, possibly during or after Dr. Eggman's campaign on harnessing the power of Chaos. At some point, it was sent to the Battle Fortress to meet with the Battle Bird Armada, but it was attacked by E-102 Gamma and its Mobini freed.[16]

Light Mobius
- Amy Rose: the Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Amy Rose. At some point in her life, Amy would be adventuring through time using Time Stones.[17]
- Antoine D'Coolette: the Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Antoine D'Coolette. He is the father of Jacques D'Coolette and Belle D'Coolette, and Bunnie D'Coolette's husband.[18]
- Bunnie D'Coolette: the Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Bunnie D'Coolette. She is the mother of Jacques D'Coolette and Belle D'Coolette, and Antoine D'Coolette's wife.[18]
- Charmy Bee: The Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Charmy Bee. As one of the Chaotix, Charmy was considered by Lara-Su to be one of her adopted uncles. Charmy also trained Lara-Su, helping her gain greater gliding abilities with his expertise in flight.[19]
- Doctor Finitevus: the Light Mobius counterpart of Doctor Finitevus from the Prime Zone. At some point in the past, Dimitri came to dislike Finitevus. This was revealed when he expressed shame at having worked with him, an event that was only outclassed by Lien-Da's conspiracy with Mobius' despotic king, Shadow the Hedgehog.[20]
- Hope Kintobor: The Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Hope Kintobor. When Lien-Da freed King Shadow from his imprisonment by using a Chaos Syphon, she asked who it was that imprisoned him. She asked if it was Knuckles, Tails, or "that horrible Kintobor woman", referring to Hope. This implies that Hope was opposed to Shadow's regime.[21]
- Maximillian Acorn: the Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Maximillian Acorn. Before the crisis that resulted in the alteration of the timeline, King Max remained the ruler of Mobius for the first two years of Sonic and Sally's marriage. According to Sally, Sonic didn't mind it and would have been happy if she had given up the crown. This information was not well-known, as some people, such as Julie-Su, thought that Sonic became king just after the wedding.[22]
- Mighty the Armadillo: the Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Mighty the Armadillo, and a member of the Chaotix. Along with his teammates, Mighty was one of Lara-Su's trainers, helping her develop her physical strength alongside Vector. Lara-Su also considered him to be one of her honorary uncles.[19]

- Holy Summit (Pre-Super Genesis Wave): an area found on Mobius. Holy Summit was one of several stops that King Maximillian Acorn had scheduled on his world tour to raise support against the Eggman Empire.[24]
- Land of a Million Lights: a region located on the planet Mobius. By 3237 it was also the location of one of a Sub-Boss of the Eggman Empire.[25]

- Mazuri (Pre-Super Genesis Wave): a Human/Overlander settlement in Efrika, and a city-state of the United Federation.[23] Not much is known about Mazuri, besides that it is threatened by the Efrika Dark Egg Legion.[26]
- Mezzo Jillion
- Mobotropolis (future version): an alternate version of the Mobius Prime's Mobotropolis and the home city to the Freedom Fighters. Ruled by Queen Sally and King Sonic, the Mobotropolis enjoyed a period of great peace. Sadly, it was eventually destroyed in a nuclear strike launched by Dr. Eggman.[27][28]
- Mount Freedom: a large mountain on Northamer[29] which hides Guardian Units of the Nation Headquarters within its interior.[30]
- Mount Thunder: a mountain in the Dragon Spine Mountains on Angel Island.[31] Mount Thunder is the tallest peak on Angel Island, being 1.79 metrons tall.[32]
- Planet Wisp
- Priscilla: a coastal town located in the northernmost region of Downunda.[23] The Priscilla was founded as a colony for the Kingdom of Acorn and thus, like the rest of Downunda, defers to it. King Reginald Acorn met his wife during a visit to the colony, while his grandson Sebastian Acorn would help stabilize the continent and presumably ensure the colony's survival and safety.[14]
- Prison Island
- Rainbow Valley: a valley located on Angel Island. The Rainbow Valley is where Espio the Chameleon lived along with many other Chameleons and is located near the center of the island. It is known for its varied, colorful foliage, and the Chameleon village is hidden within from outsiders.[33][34]
- Red Mountain: a mountain in the Dragon Spine Mountains on Angel Island.[23] This location is based on the Red Mountain Action Stage from Sonic Adventure.
- Soleanna (Pre-Super Genesis Wave)
- South Island (Pre-Super Genesis Wave): an island found on Mobius. South Island was one of several stops that King Maximillian Acorn had scheduled on his world tour to raise support against the Eggman Empire.[24] The location is based off the same island when several Sonic video games are set in.
- Spagonia (Pre-Super Genesis Wave): a Human/Overlander city-state of the United Federation in Eurish.[23] Spagonia is based on the Town Stage with the same name from the video game Sonic Unleashed.
- Strawberry Fields: a region on the Northwestern corner of Angel Island.[31] After running away from his home, Charmy Bee made himself a home here.[35][36]
- Swampy Swamp: a location on Angel Island that was the chosen home of Vector the Crocodile.[31]

- Doctor Eggman (Morpho's dimension): Dr. Eggman's counterpart from a parallel dimension. At some point, Eggman created a shapeshifting robot named Morpho. However, he eventually had an accident that caused his entire dimension to blow up.[44] Whether or not Eggman survived this is unknown.

- Eggman (Doctor Eggman's father): The father of the world-renowned supervillain Dr. Eggman, who was seemingly named after him.[45] Not much is known about Eggman, although his son made some desperate attempts in the past to earn his approval and according to him, Eggman was a very oppressive man.[46][47]

- Gigglesnorts: An improve troupe that Dr. Eggman was once a member of. Exercises they would play included "Zip, Zap or Zip" to practice how to think fast.[48]
- Lamebot: A robot created by Dr. Eggman and is considered one of the lamest creations the doctor has come up with (hence its name).[42] Team Sonic has shown some familiarity with Lamebot, though the nature of their relationship is unknown.
- Mathbot: A robot created by Dr. Eggman and is viewed as one of the lamest creations the doctor has come up with.[42] Team Sonic has shown some familiarity with Mathbot, though the nature of their relationship is unknown.
- Mister Mayor: the father of Mayor Fink and possibly a past mayor of Hedgehog Village.[45]

- Sea Witch: a character mentioned in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. She is the mother of Salty and Pepper. As implied by her name and Amy, the Sea Witch is not exactly a lovely person. When Sonic first heard of the Sea Witch, he mistook her for Pepper's boat. It is implied by Pepper that it is a common misassumption.
- Spoonbot: A robot created by Dr. Eggman and is viewed as one of the lamest creations the doctor has come up with.[42] Team Sonic has shown some familiarity with Mathbot, though the nature of their relationship is unknown.
- Suzanne: a vacuum and the cousin of Cubot.[50] Suzanne is described as a suck-up in behavior, though not to the same degree as Dave the Intern.
- Tannous: the uncle of Miles "Tails" Prower's neighbor. When suffering from insomnia, Tannous has a habit trying to fluff his pillow to get comfortable and then get up for a drink of water.[51]

- Casino Night Zone: an unspecified region on Earth. At some point, Dr. Eggman spent a weekend in Casino Night Zone, but can't remember what he did during his trip. Allegedly, Eggman did something so unmentionable that Cubot later insisted it remained confidential.[52]
- Danger Falls: an area on Seaside Island which, as its name implies, is dangerous to cross over without the proper survival skills. Supposedly, it lies on route to Hidden Meadows.[53]
- Doomsday Bunker: Sticks the Badger's personal bunker for hiding from apocalyptic events (which she has yet to use). Deeming Sonic's Mech Suit unstoppable, Sticks prepared to hide in her Doomsday Bunker. However, her plans were dashed when Tails found a way to stop the mech suit.[54]
- Hazard Jungle: a region on Seaside Island which, as its name implies, is dangerous to travel through without the proper survival skills. Supposedly, it lies on route to Hidden Meadows.[53]

- Pleasant Gardens: a region on Seaside Island. According to Sticks, it is a dangerous place to travel through without the proper survival skills despite its name. Supposedly, it lies on route to Hidden Meadows.[53]
- Stuff Mart: a trading center where one can get big-screen TVs. Stuff Mart was once contacted by the Comedy Chimp Show, who asked them to donate free TVs to its studio audience. Stuff Mart declined however, forcing the Comedy Chimp Show to buy their own prize.[56]

- Hydra: A monster from ancient Greece. Hercules fought the Hydra as a part of his Twelve Labours.[60]

After his death, Dr. Robotnik learned of his invention and stole it for his own use.[61] Neinstein's name is a parody of Albert Einstein's name.
- Tekno the Canary (Mirror Zone): an alternate version of Tekno the Canary from the Mirror Zone. Tekno was a scientist working for the Freedom Fighters who sought to overthrow the evil King Sonic. When King Sonic turned into Super Sonic, Amy suggested having Tekno find some way to keep their King in this form permanently.[62]

- Arcos: a city in ancient Greece which was ruled by Eurytheus.[60] Arcos is based on the Greek city of Argos.
- Black Zone: a region said to be somewhere in the Special Zone, possibly on Planet Meridian. It is the home of Mister Shifter, a self-described "deadly shape-changer".[63]
- Dimension of Tranquility: an alternate dimension separate from Mobius'. According to interdimensional travelers that Sonic the Hedgehog ran into, an old lady would often visit her sister who lived in the Dimension of Tranquility.[64]
- Metropolis University: a university located in the Metropolis Zone. The Professor once taught at Metropolis University, but left it at some point to join the Sky Pirates.[65]

- Spring Hill Zone: a Zone located on Mobius. Attempting to make his way back home within five seconds in order to stop Dr. Robotnik's satellite beam, Sonic the Hedgehog traveled through multiple Zones, including the Spring Hill Zone.[66]
- Steptoe Zone: a Zone located on Mobius. To catch the thief known as the Leaf, a rumor was spread around the Eldorado Zone that the Steptoe Zone's priceless "Golden Bike Frame" was to be displayed in the local museum.[67] The Steptoe Zone is a reference to the British television sitcom Steptoe and Son, which is about two men whose job is collecting unwanted junk and passing it off as something valuable that they can sell.

- Mobian Megawhales: a species of whale. Not much is known of this animal, although the Royal Hedgehog Crest compares the Sand Snakes of Hamarapi to Mobian Megawhales in size. Given their namesake, the species is most likely a type of large whale.[72]
- Mobian Muskrats a species of rodents native to Mobius. According to Sleet, Mobian Muskrats are extremely stupid.[73]

- Miss Mordue: a human who works as the Thorndyke family's cook at their summer cottage. In the present day, it is implied that, like all the other inhabitants of her town, she was possessed by a ghost during King Boom Boo's stay in town.[76]
- Miss Westerly (ウェンディ先生 Uendi Sensei?, lit. "Miss Wendy"): the former teacher of Christopher Thorndyke's class at Station Square Elementary School. During the semester, Miss Westerly took a leave of absence from teaching, resulting in Mister Stewart becoming the substitute teacher of her class for the remainder of the semester.[77]
- Mr. Yoggy: a human who works as the Thorndyke family's cook at their summer cottage. In the present day, it is implied that, like all the other inhabitants of her town, he was possessed by a ghost during King Boom Boo's stay in town.[76]

- Crazy Gadget: a sector of the Space Colony ARK. Dr. Eggman was once on standby in Crazy Gadget while waiting for Sonic and his allies to arrive with the last Chaos Emerald for the Eclipse Cannon.[81]
- Egypt: a country located on Earth. After successfully stealing Nelson Thorndyke's space shuttle, Eggman ordered Decoe and Bocoe to take the Egg Carrier to Egypt, saying that he and Bokkun would make it there in the space shuttle.[75] It is likely that Egypt is the same location seen during the "Shadow Saga" of the anime series Sonic X, where Sonic and his friends went to space via a space shuttle.
- Siberia: a location in the northern hemisphere of Earth.[80]
- Silver Star Retirement Home: a retirement home for the elderly people. Upon the request of Nelson Thorndyke, several members of the Silver Star Retirement Home left to tutor Sonic and his friends in relaxation on their cruise.[82]
- Sweden: a country in the northern hemisphere of Earth.[80]
- Yamato University: a university that was once attended by Mister Tanaka. In the past, Mister Tanaka attended Yamato University as a student, where he partook in Doctor Cadberry's classes.[83] Westopolis is based off the first stage in Shadow the Hedgehog with the same name.

- Chaos Drive: an object of importance from fifty years ago. Not much is known about the Chaos Drives and what they are capable of. According to Gerald's diary, it was a pseudo-perputual mobile created by Gerald Robotnik himself about fifty years ago.[84]

- Rubinite: a rare type of metal. Rubinite is a metal of unknown color that is used to fuel machinery. Alexander Pell obtained and used Rubinite to power a warp ray that could shrink things to a sub-atomic level.[85]
