The Light Shot (ライトショット, Raito Shotto^?) is an object that appears in Shadow the Hedgehog. A weapon originating from the Black Arms, it is a gun-type weapon usable by both enemies and the player.

Description

The Light Shot is separated into three parts, and appears to be being held together by a glowing pink object within the weapon. This object also appears to be the weapon's power source. The Light Shot is mostly gray with black details, such as the handle. It is a basic plasma weapon akin to the Pistols used by GUN Soldiers.

Shadow the Hedgehog

In Shadow the Hedgehog, the Light Shot can only be found in certain Stages (although they are found in nearly every Stage). They can be wielded by enemies aligned with the Black Arms, who will use them against the player.

Light Shots can be dropped by defeated enemies that wield them or released from breakable Containers. Touching one will make the playable character pick it up automatically, and pressing // (whether on the ground or in mid-air) will fire it. As a gun, the Light Shot can shoot enemies from a distance (targets within range will be automatically targeted). In comparison to other weapons, the Light Shot has low damage output, making them mostly useful during early Stages. A Light Shot can fire a total of twenty shots, and once those run out, it becomes useless. However, it can be reloaded with another twenty shots by picking up another Light Shot.

In Shadow the Hedgehog Flash, the Light Shot is a weapon useable by Shadow the Hedgehog.

Archie Comics

Several Black Warriors using Light Shots, from Sonic Universe #59.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, the Light Shot made an appearance in Sonic Universe #59. When Team Dark and the Spider Troupe got onboard the New Black Comet, several Black Warriors wielded Light Shots against them, but were defeated.
