Silver can jump into the air and fly for a limited amount of time, allowing him to cross chasms, soar over the water, or completely circumvent enemy positions.

— The description for Levitate, Sonic the Hedgehog: Official Game Guide[1]

Levitate[2] (レビテート[3] Rebitēto?) is a move in the Sonic the Hedgehog series that is used primarily by Silver the Hedgehog. When using this technique, Silver uses his Psychokinesis to fly through the air.

Description[]

Levitation is one of the most basic uses of Silver's psychokinetic powers. When using Levitate, Silver uses his psychokinesis to move his own body through midair, granting him flight. When in flight, Silver can move himself at extreme speeds, nearing those that Sonic the Hedgehog can run at, and give himself a general advantage in a fitting situation.

The drawback of Levitate is that its performance is tied to Silver's own stamina and concentration. If he should start to wear out from overuse of his psychokinesis or lose concentration, it would cause Levitate to end and Silver to fall down.

Game appearances[]
