The Leaf from Sonic the Comic #114. Art by Nigel Dobbyn.

The Leaf is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is a master thief who went on a crime spree in a very rich part of Mobius known as the Eldorado Zone.

He is a chipmunk who was able to fly by means of a pair of mechanical, leaf-shaped wings that span around, making his silhouette very similar to that of Tails.

When his image was caught on a security camera, the residents of the Zone initially blamed Tails for the thefts, until Tails convinced them to let him clear his name. Tails and the residents set a trap, painting a bike frame gold and putting it in the museum as the "Golden Bike Frame of the Steptoe Zone". The Leaf fell for the ruse and was caught in the act by Tails and the residents. The Leaf flew away, and Tails followed. The Leaf's mechanical wings made him faster and more maneuverable than Tails in the air, but when their batteries ran out he began to plummet to the ground. Tails caught him safely and handed him over to the police.[1]
