The Laser Hunter (レーザーハンター,Rēzā Hantā?) is an enemy that appears in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It is a mass-produced robot model deployed by the military organization Guardian Units of Nations and is a part of the Hunter series. Instead of bullets like the Gun Hunters, they fire lasers, hence their name.
Nearly identical to the Gun Hunters, the Laser Hunters are blue, white, yellow and black humanoid robots with a top-heavy upper torso. They have a flat head with no neck, a single red eye, and a drop-shaped blue cap covering it. They also have thin legs with large kneecaps, thick forearms, a hand on the left arm, and a rifle on the right arm. Unlike the Gun Hunters however, the Laser Hunters' rifle is shorter and thicker with a sharp point for a barrel.

By comparison, the Laser Hunters appear less frequent than the Gun Hunters, although they pose a somewhat greater danger. They can be found in the following Stages:
In gameplay, Laser Hunters either drop down from above or stay in a hunched-down standby position for then to get into attack mode when the player is in range (the latter case is the most common). They mostly remain in one spot from where they take aim at the player. When the player then leaves the area, the Laser Hunters return to standby. When destroyed, each Laser Hunter grants 100 points.

When engaging the player, the Laser Hunters lock onto the characters when they are within range and charge their rifle briefly before firing a laser. Unlike the Gun Hunter, their shots cannot be destroyed by the Lock-On Missile, but they can pass through Containers. These lasers are also quite harmful; one shot can reduce the Health Gauge by 20%. As they charge their laser though, the Laser Hunters cannot change their trajectory, giving the player the opportunity to evade them.

The Laser Hunters, as their name implies, are armed with laser rifles that can shoot rapid-fire yellow laser beams.
