The Laser Hunters are nearly identical to the Gun Hunters. They are blue, white, yellow and black humanoid robots with a top-heavy upper torso, and have a flat head with no neck, a single completely red eye, and a drop-shaped blue cap covering it. They also have thin legs with large kneecap, thick forearms, a hand on the left arm, and a rifle on the right arm. Unlike the Gun Hunters though, the Laser Hunters' rifle is shorter and thicker with a sharp point for a rifle barrel.

Laser Hunters is armed with a laser shooter that serves at it's right arm that enables it to shot a long yellow laser that can deal dramatic damages to the player that reaches to decrease the Health Gauge of both Dr. Eggman and Tails with 20% in each hit. Unlike their predecessor the Gun Hunter, their shots cannot be destroyed by the Lock-On Missiles, but can also get through Steel and unbreakable containers.

They are more commonly seen falling from the sky, and also turn on when an enemy is in range (if they already in the place). Once they encounter the enemy, they will charge their rifles and then launch the laser at the opponent. When they charge they cannot move their rifles to locate the position the player has moved to if he ran, unless they shot the charged laser. If the player leaves the arena, they will return to sleep mode again. Like the Gun Hunter, they can also react with the player's movements before charging, but cannot move only in rare cases. Here is the list of their stages appearance:

The Laser Hunter[1] (レーザーハンター Rēzā Hantā?) is an enemy that appears in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It is a mass-produced robot model deployed by the military organization Guardian Units of Nations, and a part of the Hunter series. Instead of shooting bullets like the Gun Hunters, they fire lasers, hence their name.

Appearance

Nearly identical to the Gun Hunters, the Laser Hunters are blue, white, yellow, red and black humanoid robots with a top-heavy upper torso. They have a flat head with no neck, a single red eye, and a drop-shaped blue cap covering it. On their torso they have red and blue chest plating with the number "02" on the left side and GUN's symbol on the right. They also have thin legs with large kneecaps, thick forearms, a hand on the left arm, and a short, yet thick rifle with a sharp laser barrel on the right arm.

Overview

By comparison, the Laser Hunters appear less frequently than the Gun Hunters, although they pose a somewhat greater danger. They can be found in the following Stages:

Character Stage
Normal mode Hard mode
Sonic N/A City Escape
Green Forest
Tails Prison Lane
Mission Street
Mission Street
Shadow White Jungle White Jungle
Final Chase
Dr. Eggman N/A Iron Gate

In gameplay, Laser Hunters either drop down from above or stay in a hunched-down standby position before entering attack mode when the player is in range. They mostly remain in one spot from where they take aim at the player. When the player leaves the area, the Laser Hunters return to standby. When destroyed, the Gun Hunters each grant one hundred points.

These lasers are also quite harmful; one shot can reduce ta walker's Health Gauge by 20%. As they charge their laser, however, the Laser Hunters cannot change their shots' trajectory, giving the player an opportunity to evade them.
