The Laser Beam Attack (レーザービーム攻撃, Rēzābīmu Kōgeki^?) is a move that appears in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. It is an attack used by the Egg Viper, wherein it fires multiple laser beams.

Description

When using the Laser Beam Attack, the Egg Viper moves around, firing lasers at its targets.

In gameplay, this technique is used during the Egg Viper boss battle. When utilizing this move, the Egg Viper will move from side to side along the walkway, firing several laser beams at the player. To best avoid these attacks, the player needs to keeping moving. If the player is hit, they will take damage and, due to the knockback of the attack, almost certainly fall into a bottomless pit.

Variants

Laser Beam Attack 2

The Laser Beam Attack 2 is a variant of the Laser Beam Attack where the Egg Viper shows up on the side of the walkway, remaining stationary. It will then fire a focused laser beam that will cause an explosion upon impact. Due to being a single charged attack, it is easier to avoid than the normal Laser Beam Attack.

Laser Beam Attack 3

The Laser Beam Attack 3 is a variant of the Laser Beam Attack, where the Egg Viper appears at the end of the walkway and charges towards the player while firing laser beams. The best way to avoid this attack is to run to the opposite side, while still paying attention to the laser shots.
