The Land of Darkness[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an area of Planet Freedom created by Chaos Knuckles.
Description[]
The Land of Darkness is depicted as a deserted area with cities in ruins under a clean sky with white clouds. Some rocks and giant islands appear floating in the sky of the Land of Darkness.

Altered States[]
The Land of Darkness was formed by Chaos Knuckles after he warped reality. In this new universe, Dr. Robotnik had kidnapped Sara and held her in his lair in the Land of Darkness. Attempting to save her, Sonic and Tails tried to make their way through the Land of Darkness, only for them to be attacked by Metal Robotnik. The robot aimed at the heroes to kill them, only for it to be destroyed by Knuckles. The Land of Darkness was subsequently erased from existence after history got warped once more.[1]
