Lagoon City Zone is the fifth Zone of Sonic Superstars. It is a ruined, submerged city in the Northstar Islands. It is composed of two Acts, plus an exclusive Act for Amy.
This Act is exclusive to Amy, where she can use her Piko Piko Hammer to interact with the fruit-like gimmicks. At one point halfway, she finds Trip, who has been crying for a while after having a trap backfire on her and realizing Fang’s evil intentions. Amy, assuming she is lost, manages to calm her down after she panics, and offers to help her get out. From there on, Amy is unable to attack because she is carrying Trip on her back. At the end, Amy gives Trip an apple before regrouping with Sonic and the others, which delights the lizard, beginning her close friendship with Sonic's team, especially Amy.
Act 2[]
This section requires an expansion.
Unlike the first Act, this one is significantly more expensive. A variety of routes are present, both above ground and underwater, with one route being exclusive to Knuckles, and another being exclusive to Amy.
If Trip is not already active as a player character, she can be spotted late into Act 2 alongside a giant octopus. Upon being approached a player, Trip will hide behind the octopus.
If Amy is active as a player character, the octopus will move its tentacles aside, and Trip will prompt for players to enter the previously-inaccessible shortcut to the end of the Act.

"Lagoon City Zone Act 2"'s theme derives from a demo I created for a proposed "Hidden Palace Zone" in Sonic Mania. The idea marinated for 7 years, matured, and finally found a home in "Sonic Superstars" last year. I'm happy that the final version was so well received by the community!"
