Battle your way foward with this lightning-fast attack. Damage your rivals and get a short boost whilst doing so!

— Description, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle

The Laevatein Lunge is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Projectile Item used primarily to attack rivals.

The Laevatein Lunge's icon takes the form of Laevatein doing a forward trust with a swirling purple aura around it. In gameplay, this power-up becomes the user grabbing Laevatein and performing a lightning-fast forward lunge with it while dashing forward.

In gameplay, the Laevatein Lunge can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Sir Percival. As with most other Items, Metal Sonic can also use the Laevatein Lunge if he uses the Steal Item to steal it from the aforementioned user.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Laevatein Lunge by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Laevatein Lunge lets the user do a forward dash that will damage any rival character the user comes into contact with, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily. The duration of the Laevatein Lunge is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Laevatein Lunge is in effect. In addition, if the Laevatein Lunge manages to damage a rival character, the user will receive a short speed boost while doing so.

The Laevatein Lunge can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 6 and 12 respectively. For each upgrade, the greater the chance will be that player obtains up to two Laevatein Lunges to use in the Projectile Item slot from a single Item Box.
