The Kraken is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog and its spin-off comic series' published by Archie Comics. In the Post-Super Genesis Wave timeline, it is a large robotic octopus creature that lurks in the waters beneath Pirate Island, most specifically the Pirate's giant oil drum. The Kraken is allied with the Blackguard Pirates and is used by them as a way to dispose of enemies.

Trivia

• The Kraken is based on the mythological sea monster of the same name, a creature that was stated to be so huge that sailors would often mistake it's tentacles for small islands.
