The Konohagakure is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Boost Item used primarily to increase the user's speed.

Description[]

The Konohagakure's icon takes the form Ninja Espio's foot mid-run is trailed by a spiral of wind surrounded by two green leaves. In gameplay, this power-up creates a leafy tornado around Ninja Espio, which turns him invisible with white sparkles surrounding him until he turns visible with another leafy tornado.

Overview[]

In gameplay, the Konohagakure can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Ninja Espio.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Konohagakure by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Konohagakure will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. In addition, while the Konohagakure is active, the user becomes invisible and invulnerable to most obstacles and offensive power-ups from rivals, but they are still susceptible to falling into bottomless pits. Like most of Invincible power-ups, the user can also collect Rings, Item Boxes, as well as destroy Badniks. The duration of the Konohagakure is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Konohagakure is in effect.
