Koichi Tanaka (田中 康一 Tanaka Kōichi?) is a Japanese mangaka who wrote and illustrated the Sonic the Hedgehog manga featured in the magazine Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special published by Shogakukan.
In 1991, he received honorable mention in the 22nd Fujiko Fujio Award (children's category of the Shogakukan Comic Awards) for his work Saikoppu Reinokai (サイコップ霊ノ介?).[1]
