King Arthur[2] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series published by Archie Comics. He is a tyrannical king from an alternate Zone who is served by a group of knights known as the Knights of the Round Table, from a distant Zone connected to In Another Time, In Another Place's reality.

One day, the Royal Wizard Merlina did something that infuriated King Arthur and he chased after her on his flying horse. He summoned his Knights of the Underworld to help corner Merlina, but she used her magic to summon Sonic the Hedgehog to aid her. Sonic defeated all Arthur's Knights of the Underworld, but Merlina teleported herself and Sonic away just as the hedgehog tried attacking Arthur. King Arthur then met with Sirs Gawain, Lancelot and Percival, ordering them to find Merlina and Sonic and slay them while he gave chase.[3]

King Arthur commands dark magical forces and has the ability to summon monstrous creatures from the shadows he creates.[3]

- Though King Arthur's name was never stated in the comic, Ian Flynn has confirmed all the characters' names from the comic strip are considered to be the same as in Sonic and the Black Knight.[2]
