Kid Cruel from Sonic the Poster Mag #3. Art by Mike Hadley.

Kid Cruel is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is a simian gangster who terrorized the town of Forest Hills with his band of Coconuts Badniks.

He is a large simian, perhaps a gorilla, with a Don King-style haircut and a large gold tooth. He wears rose-coloured glasses, a purple suit, and carries a cane.[1]

He kidnapped the local children and used them as organic batteries for the Coconuts, then forced the parents to hand over all the gold from the local gold mines. As insurance against interference by Sonic the Hedgehog, he rigged each of his Badniks with bombs that would explode on any kind of impact. Believing he had thwarted Sonic, he called Doctor Robotnik to collect the bounty on Sonic's head. When Sonic disabled the Badniks and defeated Kid Cruel, Robotnik arrived from the Special Zone. Kid Cruel was presumably punished for his failure.[1]
